Hubei Wonder Solar LLC. was established in August 2016, mainly engaged in the development and production of the emerging solar cells. As a spin out from Prof. Hongwei Han group in Huazhong University of Science and Technology, the company aims at achieving efficient and stable emerging solar cells based on printing technology and cheap raw materials. From fundamental research to industrial-scale pilot line, the company provides technical support and solutions for the realization of low-cost solar power.
Exclusive access to the fundamental IP from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wonder Solar obtained the key technologies of printable mesoscopic perovskite solar cells, which are prepared by coating three layers of mesoporous films on a single conductive substrate by layer-by-layer. These solar cells are regarded as an outstanding representative of the new generation of solar cell technology because they exhibit advantages of using abundant raw materials and simple fabrication process, good repeatability, and scalability as well as excellent device efficiency and stability.
As of 2021, Wonder Solar has taken the lead in completing the pilot scale test and outdoor verification of printable mesoscopic perovskite solar cells which is hailed as the next-generation of photovoltaic technology, and its industrialization indicators are leading the world. Experiencing the swift and violent growth momentum, Wonder Solar Institute, Wuhan has been established in August 2021. The Institute is committed to realizing ultra-low-cost solar photovoltaic power generation and creating affordable solar photovoltaic technology for everyone.
